The Central Business Hub meets on Tuesdays – usually twice a month – 90 minute meetings starting at 8am or 8:30am depending on the venue. Our meetings are therefore ‘early morning’ rather than ‘breakfast’: We provide coffee & tea but not necessarily anything to eat to keep the attendance cost as low as possible for our not-for-profit group.
Visitors are welcome at every meeting.
The normal elements of our meetings are:
- 15 minutes informal networking
- Two minute intros – where you can pass round business cards / flyers and give details of your companies current activities as well as a general outline of what your business offers
- A 20 to 30 minute themed group discussion of a previously announced topic (with a five minute introduction #)
- Let’s do business – where people can make any specific business request, give testimonials of good service they’ve had from other members, share details of business they’ve had from other member’s referrals and talk about active alliances between members
…and we close with some more informal networking if there’s time. This is where you can set up those 1:1 meetings to advance promising connections.
# by a pre-scheduled member.
Companies automatically become members for the next 12 months (free of charge) following their attendance at a meeting – this is renewed every time they attend a meeting.
The aim is to have 6 to 12 attendees at each meeting: Our experience being that this is the optimum size range for excellent networking. If any meeting does not have at least 6 registered attendees by the Thursday prior to the meeting, it is cancelled and registered attendees are offered the choice of moving their registration to a later date or having a refund.
